A site built in high-quality code to a graphic designer's specification

Natural Power are a renewable energy consultancy based in Scotland. They work on wind, wave and tidal projects across Europe, Canada and the US.
the brief
A new site to tie in with the company's new branding. I was called on to turn a design into a working website. The timescale was tight as the site needed to be ready in time for a series of important industry events.
my role
I created the website from mock-up images provided by the company's marketing department. I was responsible for all the markup and code and ensuring that the site was search-engine friendly.
technical details
The site was written in w3c-valid xhtml and css. I used javascript for some visual effects, such as this slideshow. Behind the scenes I developed a php templating framework to speed up production and allow the site to be updated and altered more easily.
