the brief
The client wasn't looking for a fully content managed site, they just wanted to be able to keep their online client list up-to-date. I designed and implemented a simple one-page user interface which allows the user to add and remove clients, edit their details and assign them to categories of performer. Both the web page and the downloadable client list are automatically updated with each change.
my role
The site was designed by Creative Station, who brought me in to add the database-driven pages and admin interface. I undertook database design, user interface design, and PHP and Javascript coding.
technical details
Built in PHP, outputting database-driven HTML. Smarty templates give the designer full control over the appearance of the dynamic page without having to learn PHP. Javascript drag-and-drop functionality and AJAX are used to create a streamlined and intuitive admin interface.
